English for Speakers of Other languages - ESOL

ESOL Entry 1 to Entry 3
An ESOL course is for you if English is not your first language and you want to improve your skills to take part in everyday life in the UK. You will need to take an assessment to make sure that the course you are placed on is at the right level for you. All entry levels will take nationally recognised ESOL exams in Reading, Writing, and Speaking and Listening. Higher level ESOL learners will progress to our Functional Skills English course.

ESOL for Employment – On this course you will learn how to:

•         read job adverts
•         make telephone enquiries about a job
•         complete a CV and a covering letter for a job application
•         role-play a job interview

Our supportive teachers will help build your confidence and develop the skills you need to work in the UK. There is no examination for this short course, but you will produce a reflective portfolio of your learning journey and receive a certificate of attendance.

The course runs at various times throughout the year from Tuesday to Thursday, 10.00am to 12.00pm, for 2 weeks. Please contact us for details of the next course.
