Raising Standards | Building Confidence | Achieving Success
Pastor Joe Kerson has over 30 years of experience in both leadership and educating people of all ages, from primary school to post graduate level. This experience, along with his passion and drive for excellence and raising standards, has enabled him to provide for so many members of the local community with the educational support needed to progress to the next level of their academic career. Ofsted said this about his leadership in the school’s recent report; ‘The head teacher and staff have created a culture in which students take an interest in their learning’.
Pastor Joe ensures that the teaching staff are qualified and as passionate about academic excellence as he is.
They are responsible for ensuring an environment which is conducive to learning and were congratulated by three local councils when they reported that “the school is good in all categories but outstanding in behaviour and safety.”
We all share the belief that ‘every child has the ability to fulfil their potential’ and that this potential is reached by ‘focusing on both character and cognitive development’.
In 2015, ITS Bookworms started the academic year with only 15 pupils, since then we have expended and now operate across two sites within Merton to accommodate for over 200 pupils enrolled on our various programmes.
In the world of Private Tuition, many practitioners have relatively limited experience, often using inexperienced unqualified teaching staff in the classrooms which has a serious negative impact on the progress and success of the students entrusted in their care. Our founder, teachers and parental involvement are just a few of the reasons why parents choose ITS Bookworms.
As an accredited examination centre, we are able to offer tuition and examination registration for both Edexcel and OCR. We can also tutor candidates who are sitting for AQA qualifications.
